Our local assistant will accompany You during your theoretical exam and medical session. Once you are through this part of the process, one of your colleagues already working for the Airline You picked will brief You on the simulator session in deep detail.

Crew Resource Management

Crew Resource Management was born in the late '70s when NASA set out to find an answer to a puzzling question: why does not the rate of aviation accidents decrease as the technical resources get better and better? CRM is a discipline and a methodology using  operational, technical, human and environmental resources to promote safety and increase efficiency of the organizations working in high potential damage industries.

HiKlouds provides CRM, Human Factors and Non-Technical-Skills Evaluation courses to the following types of operators:

•Managers, executives and workers of Aviation and Maritime Companies;

•Airport and Harbour Handlers;

•Flight, Ground and Maritime Crew;

•Fire Fighting and Civil Protection Crew, including reserve and volunteers;

Ionizing Radiation Monitoring

Of all kinds of pollution ionizing radiation is by far the most subtle: humans have no sensory apparatus capable of warning them of this type of danger. Exposure can cause severe health problems.

Ionizing radiation may be caused byeither natural or artificial nuclear reaction. Natural reaction sources includecosmic radiation which causes exposure of occupants of civil and militaryairplanes and astronauts alike. This radiation has two main components : primaryradiation coming from space and secondary radiation resulting from theinteraction of the former with the atmosphere. Ionizing radiation monitoringfor working occupants of civil aircraft is mandated by law.

Monitoring and assessment of the HighAltitude Cosmic Radiation, as per Euratom 96/29, EU-OPS 1.390:

•Calculation and assessment of the doses absorbed byFlight Crew and passengers during

the flights;

•Filing of the Dosimetry Control Log and absorbed dosecertification;

•Data validation and certification done by a Third Degree Qualified Expert;

•Radiation monitoring done through the use of own instrumentation;

•Continuous Space Weather Monitoring to check forincreased Solar Activity;

•Issue of Warnings in case of increased Solar Activitywith a recommendation to reduce 

maximum flight altitude;

•Training of Aircrew and passengers (travelling forbusiness) on Cosmic Radiation issues.
